Turkish Checkers, also known as Dama, is a variant of the popular game of draughts that is played in Turkey.

The game is played on an 8x8 board, with each player having 16 men lined up in two rows, excluding the furthest back row. Men can move forward or sideways by one square and can capture their opponent's pieces by jumping over them. When a man reaches the back row, it gets promoted to a king at the end of the move. Kings have the ability to move any number of squares forward or sideways and can capture by jumping over any piece and landing on any square within their path.

The objective of the game is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or to reduce your opponent to a position where they can no longer make any moves with the remaining pieces on the board.

Here are the basic rules of Turkish Checkers:

• A single man is capable of capturing in one of three directions.
• A king can capture by jumping to an empty square beyond an opponent's piece, regardless of the distance.
• Both single men and kings must continue making jumps as long as they are possible.
• If there are multiple possible captures, the player must choose the option that captures the maximum number of opponent's pieces.
• Within a multi-capture move, it is not allowed to make a 180-degree turn between two captures.
• Each captured piece is removed from the board before the capturing player continues with their jumps. This removal may open up additional capture moves that were previously impossible.
